Knowledge areas

I am an ecologist focusing on insects. My research concerns insects in dead wood and their interactions with fungi, which forms an important component of the forest ecosystem. For this purpose I have used DNA-metabarcoding to characterise the fungal community. I have also worked with surveys of hollow oaks.

Key qualifications

Forests, ecological entomology, species interactions, decomposition, dead wood, barcoding fungi, network analysis
