Knowledge areas
I am an ecological economist researching the diverse values and valuations of nature, as well as post-growth/ degrowth futures. I am dedicated to knowledge developments within ecological and institutional economics, and to making knowledge from these theoretical fields more accessible to all.

I have extensive experience from working with issues of sustainable community development in Norwegian public sector. In my PhD-project (2019-23), I examined which values that underpin decisions regarding forest governance and community development in Norway. Specifically, I examined how different approaches to valuation and governance of forests can promote transformative changes towards sustainable community development.

Key topics: Ecological economics, sustainability science, degrowth/ postgrowth, plural values of nature, transformative changes, human-nature relations
